Nice to see ScummVM going from strength to strength, after recently putting out the 2.2.0 release which added support for multiple Ultima titles and a serious classic from the 70s. Together though, it means ScummVM will add support for titles like: Grim Fandango, Escape from Monkey Island, Myst III - Exile, The Longest Journey and an unfinished engine for In Cold Blood, as well as Wintermute 3D engine. They already shared a few developers so hopefully it will go smoothly. This means that ScummVM will be embracing both 2D and 3D games, including RPGs and point-and-click adventures under one roof. bgbennyboy had released a launcher that would do that. Its not using ResidualVM, though it could be using a patched executable. I just bought and ran it (on Windows 10 圆4), it ran fine. Ingame controls for Grim Fandango do not work when using the controller, although the same setup works out of the box whith ResidualVM. It seems that attached game controllers are not seen properly by ScummVM. Not a bad time to announce the merger of the two projects. Re: Escape From Monkey Island released on GoG. Im on Android 5.1 using the latest daily build (arm-build). In a fresh announcement, the ScummVM team mentioned how it's now been going for 19 years as the first-ever public release of ScummVM was back in 2001. While the ScummVM project was originally meant to cover 2D classics, ResidualVM was the companion project for 3D games and now they're going to combine into ScummVM.
